I am a traditional fan of the professional two–stages corkscrew. You know, the classical tirbouson which with 3–4 moves and with the right handle opens easily and with safety any bottl.
My first encounter with Houdini was at a friend's house. They gave me the bottle, they gave me Houdini and they all waited for me to open it. They had already given me their glasses to fill them out. I have not seen it before. A few seconds of awkwardness and investigation till I understood what I had in my hands. It was two handles, a round spout, a lever and a tirbouson. Mechanically, I touched the tirbouson at the centre of the corck, with the two handles I tighted the bottle ‘ s neck at the spout and with really zero effort I put down the lever and saw the tribouson dive into the corck in a spiral motion. With zero pressure again I lifted the lever and along with the tirbouson out came the cork!
I was left there to stare at it! Really magical!
