Argentina's flagship!

Why do we love it?

Finca Agostino Malbec is the wine that has it all, at the right dosage, and no matter the audience, is always jaw-dropping!

Specifically, it has everything you want from a juicy red wine! Do you want fruit intensity? It has it! Do you want oak? It has it! Want concentration as well? It has tones of it! Do you want velvety tannins but not a grape juice wine? It's exactly like that! Best of all, this super alluring package comes at such a price that you are almost morally obligated to get a case instead of 1 bottle!

Returning to their hometown of Mendoza in 2003 and 2005, Agostino brothers decided to build their own winery according to family traditions. Malbec is definitely the king of Argentina so they chose to focus on it. They planted Malbec in their vineyards in the Barrancas of Maipu, at an altitude of 850 meters, but also in the heart of the Uco Valley in La Consulta. The blend of the two different vineyards helps create a wine of unique balance and complexity as it has the height of altitude and the rich, ripe fruit of the valley. With aging for 10 months in French, oak barrels, and another 6 months in the bottle it acquires this spicy, chocolatey character that just makes it irresistible.

We told you, Finca Agostino Malbec has everything you need from a red wine! Hurry and find out for yourself!

MALBEC 2022 - AGOSTINO FINCA

PAIR IT

with pork stew with plums, slow-roasted lamb with herbs, filet mignon with red wine sauce.

Roasted duck

1 duck, about 3 kg
1 kg of potatoes, peeled, cut into large pieces
4 onions, chopped
50g of duck fat
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped sage
2 lemon zest

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.

Season the duck with salt and pepper in the cavity.

Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft, then drain them well and mush them. Fry the onions in duck fat until they get a golden brown colour. Add the garlic to the potato puree and mix with sage, lemon zest and pepper. Put the mixture in the duck's cavity. Put the duck on a spacious baking tray in the middle of the oven. Bake for 30 minutes in 220 ° C.
Then, lower the temperature to 180 C or 160 C and roast the dusk for 2 ½ hours.
When the duck is cooked, remove it from the oven and leave it to rest for 15 minutes.
We recommend serving it with red cabbage and baked potatoes.
