Rare Earths Galari - Strofilia is probably the most famous red wine of Strofilia and definitely the one with the most distinctions. The exquisite blend of Agiorgitiko, Petit Verdot and Tannat and the exuberant oak compose a wine for those who love rich and spicy red wines.
Strofilia is one of the most historic wineries in the country. Its course began in 1980 from the common vision of two friends, Giannis Maltezos and Achilleas Lampsidis. They started thinking about what their next steps would be and 2 years later they make their first wines in the wine press of Maltezos family. The wine press that was there baptized their winery later. A lot may have changed since then but Strofilia is now going through its new and promising era.
The Rare Earths collection is their premium line and includes high quality wines, in strictly limited bottles. One of them is the Rare Earths Galari. The grapes come from a vineyard on the slopes of the valley of Ancient Nemea. The blend of Agiorgitiko, Petit Verdot and Tannat ferments and matures in new and used French oak barrels of 225 liters, for over 12 months. It is then bottled unfiltered and intended for long aging.
You just found the wine that will accompany all your bbq with meatloving friends!
