Champagne Royal Brut Pommery is responsible for the style of Champagne you enjoy until tοday. If you want to taste a piece of history and at the same time a top wine from Champagne then do not miss the opportunity to try the Champagne Brut Royal.

Pommery house in Reims, France is one of the oldest and most widespread. It was founded in 1858 by Alexander Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno and has not stopped pioneering ever since. In 1874 Madame Pommery released the first vintage Champagne. At the same time, she paved the way for the Brut Champagne brand, introducing the specific dry style of Champagne, which is used by almost everyone now. To ensure the quality and stability of their wines, the grapes come exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in Montagne de Reims and Côtes de Blancs. For Royal Brut, the blend consists of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and of course, the second fermentation is traditionally done in the bottle.

Tastes Like
It has a pale lemon color with golden hues and elegant aromas of lemon, green apple, toasted brioche, almond, grapefruit, peach, and honey. Delightful mouth with delicate bubbles, creamy foaming, medium body, and sharp acidity. The sour fruits are perfectly combined with the buttery and biscuit autolytic aromas of Champagne.

with oysters, shellfish, aged cheese, or have it on its own as an aperitif.

Steamed mussels with turmeric

  • 700 g mussels
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 Garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp.  turmeric
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • Olive oil
  • Salt (Optional)
  • Pepper

Wash the mussels under plenty of water, removing the sand and seaweed and thoroughly cleaning the shell.

Saute the onion and garlic and add the mussels. Then add 1 tablespoon sweet turmeric and one glass of wine. Let the alcohol evaporate a little and cover the pot to boil for 5'-6 '.

Agitate the pot, remove the cover and serve on a deep dish.

Add freshly ground pepper (salt is optional) and garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme.

TIP: During the wash, throw the open mussels. After cooking,  throw the closed mussels.
