In its third vintage, one of the best sellers of botilia.gr, the Mythic River Rose of Gofas Estate came to provoke every Greek and French rosé out there.

And Konstantinos Govas knows how to do it. With his family's viniculture history lost in the pas, Konstantinos Gofas, the successor of the family tradition, in 2011 relocated the winery to the new, beautiful and ultra-modern facilities next to the river, in the middle of the vineyards.

The Mythic River by Constantin Gofas Estate is the only rosé he produces. With the legendary river Asopos flowing just beside the winery, the name was easy to pick. Agiorgitiko (85%) and Syrah (15%), from the vineyard Simarkou, in the "grand cru" village Kuci Nemea, are combined in a blend with unexpected results. The cold extraction and the low temperatures throughout vinification helped maintain all the primary flavors and aromas of the grapes in unprecedented levels, with the acidity refreshing the palate. The result?

It has pale salmon color in the glass.

Elegant nose, with moderate aromatic intensity with notes of ripe strawberry, cotton candy, marshmallow, juicy watermelon, melon and bubble gum.

In the palate it has medium body and aromatic intensity, discreet sweetness and balanced acidity. Aromas of strawberry, pink grapefruit, watermelon, yellow cherry, bubble gum and marshmallow fill your mouth in every sip. The long-lasting aftertaste leaves a sense of caramel on the palate.
