Domaine des Aspras is a family winery in Correns, Provence. The Domaine is in the hands of Michael Latz and his 3 sons, who will gradually take over to continue the work of their father. The family has vineyards in different places with very different soils and this contributes to the alchemy of the wine as Michael says. In 1995, Michael was elected mayor of Correns and encouraged local growers and viticulturists to turn to organic farming, making Correns the first organic village not only in Provence but in the whole of France. Correns is so famous for its quality wines that in 2008 it attracted the interest of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who founded Chateau Miraval there.
Les Trois Freres is dedicated to Michael's 3 sons and consists of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle. The combination of 3 different soils, characteristic of Correns, gives the wine its special style that combines minerality and fresh red fruit. The wine matures on its fine lees for several weeks to acquire the characteristic creamy texture of Provence's rose wine.
Les Trois Freres of Domaine des Aspras is the ultimate rosé wine for all seasons.
