RAPSANI - KONSTANTINOS LIAPIS
With the dynamism of Xinomavro but also the elegance of Krasato and Stavroto, Constantinos Liapis' Rapsani comes to dethrone Goumenissa. With native yeasts and minimal interventions, it carries all the character of both the terroir and the varieties. The blend is fermented with native yeasts and aged for 12 months in old oak barrels. It is bottled unfiltered and without added sulphites.
XINOMAVRO ROSE - ZINIDEOS WINERY
Zinideos Xinomavro rose is a wine that even with your eyes closed you could guess its variety. The aromas of tomato and red fruits are so expressive that they leave no doubt. It is a boutique winery dealing with both Greek and local varieties as well as international ones. Careful vinification, at controlled temperatures and with short extraction give a wine with a bright pomegranate color and explosive aromas typical of the variety.
ROSE DE XINOMAVRO - THYMIOPOULOS VINEYARDS
Rose de Xinomavro cries from afar its origin since its tomato aromas pierce your nose from the first moment. In the mouth, its Xinomavro nature is more than obvious, since it has an incredible structure with a tannic substance and crisp acidity. NAOUSSA - DOMAINE KELESIDIS
Do you know what a Grand Cru is? It's those very specific vineyards that have been proven to produce big wines. And Naoussa of Domaine Kelesidis was born in one of them, at Yiannakochori, Naoussa. GOUMENISSA - DOMAINE TATSIS
The characteristic blend of the two indigenous varieties, Xinomavro and Negoska, has made the area of Goumenissa famous, putting a big dot on the wine map of Greece. The beginning of the family's involvement with the vineyard and the wine is lost in the depths of time. Hailing from the intensively viticultural region of Ano Vodenos in Eastern Romulia, the family's grandparents arrived in Goumenissa by refugee waves in 1924. For 3 generations, the Tatsi family has been cultivating the two indigenous varieties in the Libaskerit and Gerakona hills. Among the first in Greece to believe in organic farming, they began to apply it in 1998. Fans of minimal intervention, allow the two varieties to express their character as purely as possible.
RAMNISTA - KTIMA KIR YIANNI
Ramnista Ktima Kir Yianni is a sample of elegance and balance. The ideal climate and the influence from Mount Vermiou contribute to the creation of an exuberant Xinomavro of the modern school, which flirts with the old as much as it needs to! The wine ferments in French oak casks and matures in French 225 and 500-liter oak barrels. The result is stylish and typical and can be aged for many many years.
