There is a distillery in Rio de Janeiro, and more specifically in the Paraíba Valley, that has been built exclusively to produce Gin. The Brazilian temperament made its presence felt when in 2018 the Amazzoni distillery won the title of the best Craft producer in the world at the World Gin Awards in London.
But there is also something else that challenges you to try it. Behind the label hides one of the world's most famous and best bartenders and mixologists, Tato Giovannoni, otherwise known as Captain, who has been keeping secret the ratio of the products that end up in the still pot for years. And which are those? A combination of 11 different ingredients some of which had never before been used to make gin. Juniper berries, laurel, lemon, coriander, tangerine, and pink pepper, mixed with cocoa, Brazilian nut, maxixe, victoria regia, and cipò crave, ingredients that grow in the heart of the Amazon.
The secret ratio gives a very special effect that you will rarely find in gin. The uniqueness is of course also reflected in the bottle, which is reminiscent of old pharmacy bottles. They are made of recycled glass and for this reason, each one has a special shape!
Amazzoni Brazilian Gin is a highly enjoyable and balanced premium gin, which you can consume straight with ice or top up with tonic or cold green tea.
