And all this, with the strength and purity of a Cask Strength whisky!
With almost 50 years of experience in the whisky industry, Billy Walker, who acquired the GlenAllachie distillery in 2017, decided to enrich the distillery’s range of single malts with a series of blended malts that marry masterful whiskies from the island of Islay with whiskies from the wider Speyside region. Thus was born the Macnair’s range, expressed with a perfect balance between the smoke and peat of Islay and the sweet elements of Speyside. The palette of complex aromatic elements is due to the maturation that the distillate undergoes, which is done in both oloroso sherry barrels, virgin oak barrels and red wine barrels!
Rich nose, of red berries, smoked oak, dried fruits, chocolate and cinnamon. In the mouth the milk chocolate is very intense, with a combination of sweet paprika and salted peanuts. The aftertaste is long and smoky.
