Antigonisme is a natural wine from a very beautiful collaboration of some extremely nice guys. Balanced forces from France and Greece united, entered the fantastic realm of natural wines, and created a masterpiece!
Zulu Wines was born in 2015 when the couple Christophe and Jess Albero, in their natural wine bar in Perpignan, South of France, met Laurent Pujol and discovered their mutual adoration for them! The idea was subversive and in collaboration with winemakers, they made from their grapes, especially cuvée wines. Somehow, their paths crossed with Melissanthi Liga, the daughter of our beloved family of winemakers from Tyrnavos. The application of the philosophy "permaculture, zero interventions in the wine, no sulfites, no commercial yeasts", has been written in the portfolio of the Liga Estate for decades now and as it was "natural" (!), nothing else could come from this collaboration, in addition to an absolutely gastronomic, exciting wine, which seems to be on its way to the sought-after. We just warned you!
Antigonisme comes from unique quality Moschomavro grapes, to which the "pata-trava"* method was applied, and the subsequent fermentation was done with native yeasts, in stainless steel tanks. The wine remained 5 months in contact with the lees and was bottled with almost zero sulfites and unfiltered. If we had to describe it just in three words? Impressivelycomplex, deliciousandawesomelyjuicy, playfulandinsanelyenjoyable…!
You have to hurry in order to try it.
*pata-trava: applied mainly to red and very colored varieties and includes the immediate removal of the must, after very gentle pressing of the grapes. It is mainly done so that the wine does not become colored, but also not too tannic from the contact of the must with the skins of the grapes!
