We have discovered the totally collectible white wine that will make a break at this year's carnival and has one of the strangest names you've heard. Wait until you take a look at the bottle...
The Arlekinon Chora Winery made its appearance recently, but has already won everyone's attention. The King's Court of Fthia 2020 (yes that is its name) is its pride and joy! Limited production, just 1,200 bottles, with an impressive label, it has already begun to be discussed among wine-lovers. Assyrtiko (85%) and Batiki (15%) meet in an unexpected blend. What is Batiki? Local, neglected and recently rare variety of Thessaly which, with proper care, shows signs of greatness.
A single dry vineyard at an altitude of 380 m at Narthakio Mountain, hardens the vines of the two varieties, forcing them to yields of 400 kg / acre. The late harvest gives a highly condensed "grape juice" that is the basis of The King’s Court of Fthia 2020 Arkekinon Chora, a wine that is unlikely to go unnoticed.
50% of the particular blend ferments and stays in new French oak 500 lt barrels for 5 months. The rest remains in the tank for 10 months with the lees and continuous battonage. The two blends were mixed and bottled with a unique label. And after they rested for as long as they needed, they are ready to be enjoyed.
