JIM BARRY WINES
Jim Barry Winery is one of the most famous in South Australia, known for its premium wines from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling. The winery was founded in 1959 when Jim and his wife Nancy bought the first vineyards on the outskirts of Clare Valley. Today, they count three vineyards in the area: Armagh, Florita, and Lodge Hill and have expanded to the famous Coonawarra. The Old Cricket Vineyard in Coonawarra is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and, as its name suggests, is located in an old cricket stadium. The stadium remains in the middle of the vineyard and many of the wines of Jim Barry Winery have names associated with cricket history.
Jim Barry Winery is considered one of the top among critics and consumers.
