In 2010 we have the creation of Oltretorrente Winery by Chiara Penati and her husband Michele Conoscente in the village of Paderna in Piedmont, Italy. The name of the winery means "Beyond the current" or "Against the current" and is a reference to the river Po (Pados or Eridanus) which is the longest in Italy. Vines aged 15 to 100 years, altitude up to 300 meters, very steep slopes, methods of biodynamic cultivation and mild natural vinification wines.
