You want the perfect cracker to combine the variety of cheeses and cold cut meats that you just prepared, but you think again, that it should not be too crispy, that it should have a little volume so that it does not disappear next to the flavors of the rest. And if you don't eat cheese or cold cuts, what will you enjoy your wine with when you're not too hungry to cook?
You understand that the "cracker" thing... we don't take it for granted! And we tell you that with Verduijn's Fine Biscuits all the above are solved.
Piet Verduijn, 31, started out in Breskens, Holland, with the traditional sugar cookies they used to bake there on New Year's. After the death of his wife in the Second World War, his determination to continue their work in her honor led him to New Zealand and his reputation took off. Over the years the company passed to his son Adrie and then to his own sons Henk and Jean-Pierre, along with new know-how and development.
Today they produce sweet and salty crackers, with a unique texture and full flavor, which once you try you will think you are eating small, delicious and full of volume waffles. But they are crispy like crackers!
These ones have a slightly spicy taste of freshly ground black pepper, while the hints of salt make the difference.
Enjoy them!
