Villani has been making epic deli meats in Northern Italy since 1886 and Prosciutto Crudo al Tartufo Villani is one of them. A piece of fine pork meat is cured, deboned, seasoned with plenty of black truffles and matured for 15 months. The result is elegant and delicate, with earthy, truffle aromas.
Its taste is so intense and special that you better enjoy it on its own, along with a few drops of extra virgin olive oil and parmesan rocks. Another option is to add it to a salad with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, to give it intensity and aroma. A rich and oaky Chardonnay or a Sparkling wine from Xinomavro will be the perfect combination.
