Dimitris Migas is a man deeply devoted to his homeland. A shining example of that love is his major investment—huge by local standards—in one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Greece. His allies in this endeavor? The region’s mild climate and the ideal drainage of the 120-acre family vineyard.

Migas first introduced us to Muscat of Tyrnavos in many forms, and now he’s the one who took on the rapidly rising Limniona variety, proving that beyond aromatic, light Muscats, he can also create red wines of incredible elegance and complexity—enough to impress even the most demanding palates.

Careful vinification and 14 months of aging in French oak barrels have resulted in a wine with exceptional finesse and expressiveness.

Enjoy it with a beef fillet and mushrooms, or a pasta alla Norma with fresh tuna!

Tastes Like

Limniona Domaine D. Migas has moderate ruby color and impressive aromas of strawberry, cherry, sour cherry, raspberry jam, tea leaves, purple flowers and vanilla.

In the mouth it has medium body, crisp acidity and silky tannins. Juicy red fruits are mixed with notes of forest floor, vanilla, green pepper, lavender and cedar.

Perfect pairing with beef fillet with mushrooms, pasta alla norma, pork tenderloin with Mavrodaphne and rosemary

Lamb with honey and rosemary

  • 4 racks of lamb with 3 lamb chops each

for the marinade:

  • 2 tbsp chopped rosemary
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 125ml red wine

Marinade: Mix rosemary, honey, garlic and wine in a large bowl. Put the racks in and cover them with the marinade. Marinate for 10 '

Drain the racks and put them in a baking pan that has been brushed with oil. Bake for 20 minutes, or according to your preference, in a preheated oven in 200 degrees (Celsius).
