Ricasoli Rocca Guicciarda Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020 is one of the best examples of the region’s great wines. It deserves to be tried at least once in your life!
It comes from the iconic Ricasoli winery, which created a station in the region's winemaking history and shaped the style of its wines. Baron Bettino Ricasoli, also known as the Iron Baron was responsible for the formulation of the Chianti recipe in 1872, while the winery has been producing wines since 1141. Currently, the winery is taken over by Francesco Ricasoli, who has managed to combine the modern know-how with the wine heritage of his ancestors.
The Ricasoli Rocca Guicciarda Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020 percentage consists of Sangiovese 90% and a little Merlot 5% and Canaiolo 5%, cultivated in a variety of soils, the 5 most representative in the region, perfectly highlighting the terroir of Chianti. The fermentation took place in stainless tanks, after about 14 days of skin contact, resulting in intense deep fruit. But its complexity is due to its stay for 21 whole months in large oak barrels. The wine was bottled and rested in the bottle for another 3-6 months before being made available for consumption.
Its fruit is impressive and challenges you to enjoy them very pleasantly from now on. Will you manage to keep it on your retainer for the next 8 years? You know exactly what solution we usually recommend in the face of such dilemmas...
