Why do we love it?

It is time to taste a wine so unique, the way our grandfathers vinificated. It is made from grapes of two native varieties of Zitsa, Debina, and Vlachiko. Using the traditional method of Ioannina, Domaine Glinavos gives us the opportunity to enjoy the mastery and imagination of our ancestors!

Without the addition of any chemicals, this wine's fermentation takes place in environment temperature for 15 days, triple decanting and then the final fermentation takes place in the tank for mixing the carbonic acid.

The result is an orange, semi-sparkling and semidry wine that loves Greek cuisine and was loved by our grandparents. You may be surprised by its bottle for its shape and special lid, but whoever has tried it, makes sure we run out in just a few hours…

Tastes Like

In the glass, you may be surprised by its dark orange (brandish) color with brown highlights.

In the nose, the aromas of ripe apricot and apple, butter, and honey are distinctive. Jasmin flower notes and tomato hints complete its different aromatic character.

In the mouth, it has a medium body with light bubble froth of medium size which highlights its rich aromatic character. Its well-balanced sweetness is combined harmoniously with its distinctive acidity which adds nerve. The sense of apricot jam lingers for long.

with pies, traditional Greek dishes like stuffed vegetables or spinach with rice. Do not hesitate to combine it with roast turkey dishes or well-roasted duck.

Traditional spanakoryzo (spinach risotto)

  • Spinach 750 gr.
  • 1 green onion
  • 1/2 can of concassed tomatoes
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 small red pepper (chili)
  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • Dill, chopped
  • 1 cup of rice
  • Salt

Wash the spinach thoroughly and cut into large pieces.

Pour in a saucepan the half amount of olive oil. Sautee the onion slightly and add the spinach to the saucepan.

Add the rest of the oil, the concassed tomatoes, a chopped, fresh tomato, the half red pepper (chili) and the bay leaf. Pour in some water to cover the spinach and season well.

Boil on moderate heat until the spinach begins to soften. Add a cup of rice and let it boil for 15 minutes.
