Meikle Tòir 5 YO The Sherry One Peated Single Malt Speyside Whisky, belongs to the new whisky series of the GlenAllachie distillery, which has gained thousands of fanatical fans around the world. The St.Fergus region is known for a specific type of peat that gives very specific characteristics to its Speyside distillates.
This one has undergone 160 hours of fermentation and has given a very exuberant result. The aromas of the primary distillate and the complexity that comes from the terroir of the region, are enhanced even more after aging in barrels that are considered to this day, the most complex in aromatic elements. And they are none other than American oak barrels that were used for aging Bourbon, then Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry.
Intense aromas of cedar, cigar, butterscotch and coffee. Orange peel oils, rich aromas of honey and ripe plum. Intense and complex in the mouth with dark chocolate, fig and peat smoke dominating.
