Do they make Assyrtiko in Pelion? Not only they do but also it’s amazing! Assyrtiko of Patistis Winery came to stay and be worshiped as very few!
Patistis Winery is located in Argalasti, Pelion, and the vineyards are between walnuts and apple trees, in an idyllic landscape overlooking the sea. Of course, cultivation is strictly organic as they love their land and want to protect its magical beauty.
Assyrtiko comes from two different vineyards, from the lower, sandy part of the Kamara vineyard and from the stony blue slate upper part of the Mantzaraki vineyard. Part of the wine is fermented in stainless-steel tanks and the other in French oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine matures on its fine lees for several months, to become more impressive, balanced and complex than ever.
Of course, we're talking about limited bottles so you know what to do!
