You loved the Soave Classico from Inama Winery as much as we did. It's time to try its big brother, Foscarino Soave Classico Inama. Get ready for complexity, white flowers, and intense minerality!
The Inama family winery in the Veneto region has been producing wines that highlight the terroir of Soave for the past 40 years. The PDO regions marked "Classico" indicate that in these regions the history of wine dates back to Roman times. Over the years, the varieties that participated in them, of course, may have changed. What is certain is that it is these regions that make the wine and not the variety. Soave in particular, is an area with volcanic soil and a terroir unlike any other in Italy.
Giuseppe Inama, since 1960 understood the importance of old vineyards and invested in buying the best of the region. One of them is the Foscarino vineyard, located at an altitude of 100-200 meters and with a southern orientation, which is the best for the ideal ripening of the grapes. The age of the vines is on average 50 years and is responsible for one of the best Soave of the winery and the region. After soft pressings, 60% of the juice from soft pressings of the Garganega variety, was placed in French, oak barriques of the 2nd and 3rd use, 30% in stainless tanks, and 10% in large oak barrels, for 6 months. The 60%, which was in the barrels, is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where it remains for an additional 5 months, before becoming the final blend that will be bottled into a wine that is the epitome of the vinification of this particular variety and the entire area of Soave.
Foscarino Soave Classico Inama 2022, has acquired volume and complexity that is hard to forget and can be consumed within the next 11 years... This wine is not to be missed!
