Malagouzia Orange Amphora from Abraam’s Vineyards is an orange wine with rich aromas and an impressive body that gives the elegant Malagouzia depth, volume, and complexity that cannot go unnoticed. And the amphora endowed her with earthy notes that suited her very well!
In the community of Komninades in Nestorio, Kastoria, Kostas Kapourgas and Anestis Haitidis, decided to revive the dry vineyard cultivated by the former's grandfather for decades, until 1980, creating the Abraam’s Vineyards, a name given in his honor. It took them about 6 years to bring the production to a point worthy of winemaking, from exclusively organically cultivated vines, where nature and its biodiversity work perfectly together and contribute to a harmonious life cycle. The total of 10 acres of Malagouzia, at an altitude of 1000 meters, yielded very high-quality fruits and after the manual harvest, the grapes were placed whole in amphorae and naturally fermented with native yeasts, in contact with the stems. Then the wine stayed there for about 2 months until it was bottled unfiltered, without added sulfites. The result is a complex natural wine with a strong earthy character and rich noticeable aromas of juicy fruit.
Malagouzia Orange Amphora from Abraham's Vineyards is the wine that pairs great with almost everything and there's only one way to find out!
