A dreamy new Malagouzia made its appearance!

Why do we love it?

The Malagousia from Vatistas Vineyards is our new favorite Malagousia, and once you try it, it’ll definitely be yours too! Aromatic and vibrant, with crisp acidity—you just can’t help but fall in love with it! It also scored 91 points from Decanter!

The Vatistas family has been active in wine and viticulture for many years. Their family vineyards, planted and nurtured by Ioannis Vatistas, are located in the plains of Voia and on the slopes of Pantanassa, near Monemvasia. The ideal climate allows the grapes to ripen perfectly, while the region is historically renowned for its wine production—this is where the legendary sweet wine Malvasia originated.

Malagousia is undoubtedly one of the most beloved white varieties in the area. Its intense aromatic and fruity character wins over even the most demanding palates. Maria Vatista, fully aware of this, decided to add this “Cinderella” of the Greek vineyard to her collection—and judging by the result, she was absolutely right! The wine was fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks along with its fine lees.

The result is juicy and balanced, and the incredible value-for-money of Vatistas Vineyards’ Malagousia makes it a must-buy by the case. Honestly, that’s what we’d do too!
