Tetramythos Winery was founded in 2004 by brothers Aristos and Stathis. Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos has been at the helm, as an oenologist, from the beginning. Together they are dedicated to the creation of exceptional wines mainly from local grape varieties. The excellent microclimate of the mountainous Aigialia helps in this. Roditis was a difficult bet because due to its participation in Retsina, in people’s minds it has been identified with cheap and bland wines.
Today, fortunately, things have changed and Roditis owes this turn to quality to Tetramythos Winery. The grapes come from 50-year-old vines, at an altitude of 850 meters, which are cultivated organically and give their best fruit, with optimum ripeness and high acidity. The wine is fermented with ambient yeasts and remains with its fine wine lees for 4 months.
