Château d'Esclans is located on cool hills in the heart of Provence and is run by Sacha Lichine since 2006. Together with Patrick Leon (Managing Director of Mouton Rothschild), Sacha began to build a world-class brand that aims to produce the best rosé in the world.
The elevated location of Château d'Esclans is famous for its old Grenache Rouge vineyards, many of which were planted in the early 20th century. These vines are harvested by hand as close as possible to sunrise and then blended with the, respectively carefully picked, Vermentino. The top cuvées mature in oak barrels and thus age and improve for years.
