HATZIDAKIS WINERY
Hatzidakis Winery was founded in 1997 by Konstantina Chrysou and the late Haridimos Hatzidakis. The heritage of Chrysou family in Pyrgos Kallistis, Santorini, was the trigger for the creation of a winery, which in the hands of Hatzidakis, would change what we knew about Santorini’s vineyard. Organic cultivation, exclusively of local varieties, such as Voudomato, Mavrotragano, Assyrtiko and Aidani formed the basis of his wines. The Wizard of Wine, as he was characterized after his death, was a true pioneer of Greek wine since he started making natural wines before anyone even thought that ,after 20 years, they would become the absolute trend. The tremendous concentration of his Santorini and the emblematic Assyrtiko de Louros are now timeless, world-class wines.
