MAISON ALBERT BICHOT
The Bichot family, with a history dating back to 1831, has its roots in Burgundy and is renowned for its unwavering commitment to crafting wines that embody the exquisite finesse of Burgundy. Their unyielding dedication to meticulous management of both the vineyards and the grapes has positioned them among the most esteemed producers in Burgundy for nearly 190 years.
Albéric Bichot, who assumed the helm in 1996, made a significant decision to transition to organic farming practices. Today, the majority of the vineyards within the Côte d’Or are organically cultivated. The Bichot family owns over 100 hectares (250 acres) of vineyards, which are divided into six distinct estates. These estates include Domaine du Pavillon, Domaine du Clos-Frantin, Château-Gris, Château Long-Depaquit, Domaine Adélie, and Domaine de Rochegrès. These estates span from Chablis to Beaujolais.
In addition to their own vineyards, the Bichot family also collaborates with other cooperating winegrowers throughout Burgundy, which has contributed to Maison Albert Bichot’s status as one of the greatest négociants in the region.
